Director & Head Pro
Daniel Piliero - "Coach Dan"
As of May 2022, Dan Piliero stepped up as Director and Head Pro of Break Point Tennis after years of teaching and playing at Tennis Rhode Island (West Bay), now known as Rhode Island Racquet Club.
Originally from New York, Dan began playing competitively at age 16 for Peekskill High School before continuing his career at Castleton College. His passion for the game eventually brought him to Rhode Island, where he has spent nearly a decade helping players of all ages and abilities develop their skills and confidence on the court.
Known by many as “Coach Dan,” he is recognized for his positive energy and enthusiastic approach to teaching. Dan continues to play competitively in adult leagues and brings that same passion for the game to every lesson.

At Break Point Tennis, our instructors have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on players at every stage of their tennis journey. We believe great coaching is about more than teaching strokes—it’s about helping players build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, understand the game, and discover the enjoyment that comes with getting better.
We’re looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable tennis professionals who are passionate about working with players of all ages and abilities. Whether you enjoy introducing a young player to the game, helping a junior develop their skills and strategy, or working with adults who want to strengthen their game, our coaches play an important role in helping each player reach their potential.
